On applying for Foscos registration, an unique 14-digit license number is issued which has to be quoted on all food packages. 1. Basic Food License registration :
Small businesses or startups having annual turnover below Rs.12 lakhs can apply. As operations scale up and turnover reaches Rs. 12 lakhs bar or want to sell outside state, the basic registration will need to be upgraded to state license.
2. State Food License registration :
Small and Medium business units having annual turnover in the range of Rs.12lakh -20 crores need to apply for State level License or sell with in Country.
3. Central Food License registration :
For large business having annual turnover above Rs.20 crores ,applicant need to obtain Central Level License. The same license is applicable where you are you are engaged in import or export of food products or selling goods to government offices.

A. Cost of Basic Food License: For Basic food license Registration fee Rs. 100 per year and any professional may charge you a extra fee of Rs. 400 – Rs. 1000 for proper food consulting and registration.
B. Cost of State Food License: The state Food License fee for the 4 Star Hotel is Rs. 5000 , Manufacturer or miller who produces 501 to 2500 MT of milk solids annually, or has a production of above 1 MT per day has to pay an amount of Rs. 5000 as the Food license fee , Milk manufacturer or miller that is into the production of 1MT mil or 501 to 10,000 LPD of milk, or 2.5 MP to 500 MT of milk solids annually, has to pay a fee of Rs. 3000.Food vendors and other food businesses like restaurants, clubs, or boarding houses that serve food have to pay license fees of Rs. 2000
C. Cost of Central Food License: In case of a new FSSAI Central license, a fee of Rs. 7,500 needs to be paid annually .Renewal will cost Rs. 7,500 per year .In case of improving FSSAI license, a fee of Rs. 7,500 has to be paid
